2 Problems

1. My ex girlfriend, Skylar, was always on my case about me liking her and that I should get over her, but when I finally do get over her she starts to get mad at me. We agreed not to talk during the summer so we don't talk. During that time I talk and get really close to my other good friend Brooke. When Skylar messgaes me I seem to veer the conversation towards Brooke sometimes [without realizing it] and then Skylar gets jealous. The most perfect example was when I mentioned that I was going see the movie Twilight, then she said she was going to see it too. Then I mentioned that I was going to see it with Brooke, and because her jealousy got the better of her, she had to mention that she was going see it with her boyfriend. I then mentioned that I was reading the book because Brooke said it was good and then Skylar got all mad because I'm talkign about Brooke.

What am I supposed to do? How am I supossed to be a friend with someone that gets mad at me no matter what.

2. My friend Brooke and I are really close. We have alot in common and she is [in my opinion] perfect for me. She doesn't even have to do anything and I feel a really strong attraction towards her. She is smart, beautiful, caring, and, as a plus, older. She is my BEST friend and I really like her, but because she is my best friend I don't want to date her, but my feelings towards her are really strong. I know that if I get together with her that I would treat her like a goddess. I have no idea what to do. I love her alot but I don't want anyhitng to ruin ou friendship. I, honestly, don't want me and her to end like like me and Skylar.

That is such a tough one, J!
I can't really offer you a good answer.
I mean, go for it, because you're gonna always wonder what a relationship would be like with her.
As far as Skylar's jealousy, just don't mention Brooke, as hard as that might be, since she is a significant factor in your life, because you know what it's gonna do to Skylar.
Even if you aren't trying to make her jealous, she could feel like you are, which would make her upset.

So to be a friend to Sky, you gotta act like Brooke doesn't exist, at least in the beginning.
She could be upset that you got over her so fast.

Now back to risking your friendship with Brooke.
Well, if you really feel that strongly about your compatibility with her, then give it a go!

It's tough. I'm talking to this guy right now, and I mean, we're pretty awesome as friends, and it's just, idun even know. It's like I wanna keep it that way, but I don't! Cause I know that if we become more than friends maybe things won't be so fun, since a relationship is all serious and stuff- like waaay more serious!

It just seems that with Skylar I can't do anyhting right. If I like her, she gets mad at me because I need to get over her. If I don't like her, she gets jealous because I don't like her anymore. WHen I talk to other girls, she wants it to be her. No matter what I do I can't be Skylar's perfect friend. It makes me mad that I can't be right for my friend.

And about Brooke, I asked her out, multiple times but she feels the same way as me. She likes me but doesn't want to ruin our friendship. She is all I think about though and its just...ugh inducing that I can't try a relationship with her.
