So this guy

that I wouldn't consider that I'm dating him. But I would say we were pretty much; like we kissed and held hands and stuff. And I really liked him and I could tell he really liked me back. But today he got back with his ex girlfriend, that he told me he is trying to get over, but now I don't think he can because he is back with her and I don't want to see him get hurt again when they break up.. I don't want to sound, uhm what's the word;;; needy or..damnit, it's on the tip of my tounge, Possesive or like, I want him to be happy, but I want him to be happy with me. Yeah, I know there's a word for that. But I don't feel like finding it. But I like him so much, and it's just so depressing;;

I think clingy/desperate is the word.
